A Story to tell.


There was a rabbit and a tortise. They were about to race..

Lol. ok, wadeva. Lets come to the real 1.



There was a boy(mark) who studied in a neighbourhood school.
It was his fifth year in that school.
At the beginning of that year, the teacher lined the students up outside the classroom to allocate them properly to their seats.

The boys were the 1st to be seated. Of course, Mark also got his seat.
The teacher put a girl infront of him. When he 1st saw her(Christine), he was "stunned" and he fell in love with her. It was love at first sight.

Soon after, Mark has decided to tell his frens that he has a crush on her. After a few weeks, almost the whole class knew. Lots of giggling were among them. Mayb after a month more or less. Almost the whole level knew that Mark admires that girl.

So one day he decided to take up the courage and tell the girl that he is fond of her. Which was a hard thing to get through with. Mark called that girl after dinner. But before he called her, Mark had asked many of her frens and his frens on how is he going about to tell her "i love u". So he also decided to take note of what to say.

Here goes.

Mark Calls the girl.
The girl picks up the phone.
The noise level in her house was high, and noisy.
Mark started off with a warm chat/normal chat.
The girl starts to get distracted by her younger brother, he is always talking to her.
Mark gets irritated sometimes.
Mark finally said: "Erm. Christine..I..Love you."
The girl just swiftly said: "I dont believe"
Mark thinks that she just wants to give an excuse.
So he carried on saying, why you dont believe me? I really love you.

Weeks after weeks. Mark still has not gave up. The news spread more.

There was a day he was doing his prefect duty around the concourse. A lower primary boy, about pri.2-4 came up to him and said: " Your Christine leh?"
He was shocked by that question. He told himself "Who the hell is he? How he know about Christine?"

Now, even the lower primary knows about the girl and him. Mark has no idea how it happened though. Mayb quite many people know him. He was a prefect. A yellow house captain. A so called "flag raiser"? or a prefect who raises the flags in the morning/evening. A PC(parade commander) who shouts "Kiri Kiri, Kiri Kenan Kiri"(Left, left, left right left) and leads about 5 people at the back who are carrying the national flag and school flag,during the national day parade, for 2 years.

The worse thing is that. Sometimes he is doing his duty at the Gallery, the girl and her fren walk pass the Gallery on their way to the toilet, sees Mark, and starts running away from him!

Mark is disappointed, the girl has never been not cold towards him. After his PSLE, he leaves the school for secondary school. He still misses the girl.

Never did he expect, that girl was in the same school as him! This was heaven for him. Again the same thing happened. He still had some of his classmates from primary school in the same secondary school with him, they spread the news of Mark's history with that girl.

The girl was in the 2nd class, which wasn't the same class as Mark. Some of her class guys also start to be fond of her. Mark starts to know that guys are starting to like her too. He wanted to find out who, but some said him, some said the other. He wasn't sure who was it. He started to get smses from people whom he does not know. They asked if he likes the girl or not. Mark did not tell, but just asked who is he. That guy just carried on asking Mark if he is fond of the girl.

The next day, his class was having a chinese lesson. Mark saw a new girl(Mary). He thought she was from china. But she wasn't. Mark started to sms her.

And soon, they were together.

Many things happened among them, happiness, sadness & all sorts of stuffs.

There were times that they were on the verge of breaking up, but patched up later on.

After about 6-8 months, they really broke up. But not really broke up. The girl smsed him and said: "Let's break up for the time being, i need to rest for some time".

Rumours went round that says "Mary likes a new boy! He is Ricky!"

Mark was deeply hurt, he shed tears when he listened to songs that are so similar to what was happening in his life. His fren, Bob, called him one evening. He called to just ask Mark how was he doing. Mark told him all his emotion. He shed a tear.

The next 2 days, Mary came up to him and shouted at him "SO WHAT IF I LIKE RICKY, DOES IT HAS GOT TO DO WITH YOU?"

Mark was stunned.

He never never did anything wrong to harm Mary, and yet he just got shouted at like that.

At that same night, Mary told him on msn "Why did he have to tell people that, I broke up with you because of Ricky? That wasn't my intention".

Mark wanted to explain, but Mary was a hot tempered girl. Mark didn't have a chance to explain to her. Mary immediately went offline.

That made Mark literally disappointed and sad.

After that day, there were many things that happened between Ricky and her. Mark continued to shed tears in the dark.

It was end of the year, Mark went back to school to check which class was he allocated to. He was allocated to the 2nd class. Mary was also in the same class as Mark, and who knows that Christine was also in the 2nd class. Nobody talked about Mark and christine anymore. Mark was disappointed that he did not go into the 1st class. But his frens told him that, he had 1 more chance to get Mary back. But he did not have the interest to get her back. Mark found that Mary has a bad attitude and a bad behaviour.

It was Mark's 2nd year in his secondary school. He no longer had feelings for Mary.
No more feelings for anyone.

Untill one day, during the holidays, Mark frens had organised a lunch at a restaurant/buffet. It lets you eat as much as you can. You must get the raw food and cook it or bbq it urself. Mark and Christine had gone too. Mark cooked some food and gave the some food to Christine. During primary school, Christine rejected a bday present gift from Mark. But now, Christine changed in his eyes. She did not try to avoid him anymore. Did not reject the things he gave her. Mark was of course, happy.
This led him back to having feelings for her.

The same night, Christine smsed Mark if he was free the following day, and if he could accompany Christine somewhere. Mark tot it was only between Christine and him, but there was his classmate too. Well, at least he gets to go out with Christine again. This let Mark really get entangled with her again. Mark thought that he would never loved someone again till he was a grown up, but he got attracted by Christine again!

The next day, Mark and 2 of them went somewhere to bowl. After bowling, they went home. 3 of them went to a bus stop. Mark's classmate took a bus home from there. Mark stayed near that bus stop, so he could walk home. But about Christine, she had to walk quite far to take a bus home. There are about 3 buses from there, they could take to get to another bus stop which Christine is taking. Mark asked Christine if she wanted to take the bus from there, but she did not reply. After Mark's classmate went off, Christine insisted on walking to the other bus stop.

Mark was happy of course. He could spend more time with Christine alone.



The following week, Mark and Christine met up to go to another fren's house. They took a bus there, they alighted. They crossed the road and Christine told Mark a story as they walked. They walked close together. Mark expected that.


After all these, Mark had wondered. Has Christine finally fallen in love with him? Because she had a change in attitude towards him. Or issit that he is too sensitive.

Primary school - Christine sees Mark, she runs. Christine sits infront of Mark, she doesnt talk to him.

Secondary school - Christine sees Mark, says hello. Christine walk with Mark, gets closer. Christine replies Mark's sms. Christine talks to Mark more!

Mayb Christine thought that during primary school, they were too young to have a crush on one another, so Christine did not believe Mark. And now, mayb Christine is ready for love.

Mark had longed wanted to tell Christine how he feels about her. But he wants to wait, wait for a chance,a very good chance to tell Christine in a better way. Is this a good way or a bad way? If he waits too long, Christine might get a new boyfren.
